Unfortunately, the other options aren’t all that plentiful. Your paid options include Bonsai Sushi Express for fast sushi bites and JavaBlue Café for your caffeine fix. There’s also The Chef’s Table, a chef-led dining experience for a limited number of cruisers, and room service. Do note, while the above cabins do offer a lot to love, such as a nice amount of floor space, and large balconies, for all their upkeep, the décor is a reminder of the ship’s age.
Activities and Entertainment
Passengers enjoy games of chance at the card tables and slot machines. The casino also hosts a number of tournaments and competitions, such as the Three Card Prime Showdown, Scratch & Win, Spin & Win and a blackjack tournament. Many of the activities occur on the Carnival Elation Lido Deck near the swimming pool. These include the beanbag toss, ice carving and the Miss Carnival Elation contest. The Elation is one of two Fantasy-class ships currently sailing with Carnival. There used to be 8 ships in this class, but only 2 remain. They're on the smaller side, making them easier to get around, but they might be missing a lot of the activities and features found on larger ships. These ships also aren't built with a lot of balcony cabins, making balcony cabins harder to get and more expensive. The Elation is very similar to its sister-ships; Paradise, although each ship may have some differences. Circle C is for children ages 12 to 14, while Club O2 is for teens ages 15 to 17.

During drydock 2019, the Cole Porter Club (540-seat bar lounge with a dance floor and a stage for live performances) aft on Promenaded Deck was replaced by the Alchemy Bar and 30x new staterooms. During my recent sailing, I found all the Carnival classics, like the Alchemy Bar and Guy’s Burger Joint, a thrilling ropes course, dive-in movies, and plenty of themed deck parties. Rent cabanas or lounge in the ocean-view whirlpools at Loft 19, where attentive staff take care of everything, like delivering you fruit and chilled towels. My favorite spot to hang out was the aft Patio Pool because it wasn't ever super crowded, and the view of the ocean was unmatched. Carnival Jubilee is the newest Excel-class ship in the fleet, sailing from Galveston, Texas.

Sail aboard the Carnival Elation and completely unwind with a visit to the ship’s spa where you can enjoy a hot stone massage or just lounge in the sauna. Enjoy the beautiful spaces onboard like the Tiffany’s Bar and Grill, which offers beautiful ocean views on one side and intricate and bright stained glass panels on the other. This is also a spot to grab some great food, from traditional pasta to Mongolian dishes. After you’re relaxed and rejuvenated, bust a move on the Jekyll & Hyde dance club. The Carnival Elation has all the fun features you’re looking for.
The massive ship offers Camp Ocean, the onboard kids club. Adults also have their own space at the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat with swaying hammocks and a bar. There also are two smaller racing slides for the little kids.
If you're looking to relax, you can spend time on the Serenity Deck, hit up the library or just work on your tan around the pool. The disembarkation was affected by fog and we had to exit our rooms by 9am, but couldn't get off til almost 2pm. I never understand the Carnival hate, I always have a good time, rooms are clean, the employees are nice and there's always something to do. It's a boat, it's ok but the food is not the reason I'm choosing one over another. But then again I have not been on any other line to compare.

During drydock 2023 (Jan 21-Feb 10, in Freeport) were conducted general maintenance works and only parts of the ship were updated/upgraded (new carpets and cosmetic enhancements).
Even so, this doesn't distract passengers from having a good time. Kids will also love that there’s an onboard waterpark, kids club, and a Build-a-Bear Workshop at Sea. Supervised age-specific fun youth activities will keep kids from ages 2 to 11 years happy and busy at Camp Carnival, which is like a summer camp, but at sea. Delighting children, is Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends.
